Mr Robert C. Bristow, 31, was born in Hampshire.
When he signed-on to the Titanic, on 4 April 1912, he gave his address as 49 Western Road, (Southampton) [1]. His last ship had been the Olympic. As a third class steward he received monthly wages of £3 15s.
Bristow died in the sinking. His body was later recovered by the Mackay-Bennett (#290) and was buried at Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Halifax, Nova Scotia on 6 May 1912.
NO. 290 - MALE - ESTIMATED AGE, 36 - DARK HAIR, LIGHT MOUSTACHE CLOTHING - Plain blue serge suit; steward's white coat, marked "Bristow"; cholera belt.
EFFECTS - Letter to "R.C. Bristow, 49 West Ridge Road, Portswood; 9s.; ship's key's, stewards's department".
