Biographical Summary

"Robert, the second son, was a writer to the Signet, and the law-agent and principal director of the Stair family. He was the father of two sons, who both died without issue, namely, Hugh Dalrymple, a celebrated lawyer, attorney-general of Grenada, and author of the political poem entitled Rodendo, and of various other pieces; and Primose Dalrymple, a captain in His Majesty's Service."
