About Robert Jennens

Robert Jennings was one of King Henry VIII's favorites. He was presented, in 1545, by the King with a sword and belt, and an estate in Shottle, Derbyshire. He was appointed chief warden, deerstalker, and ranger in Derbyshire. Robert died in 1618 and is buried in a Derbyshire churchyard.
