“Ancestor’s Wish Is Carried Out” Carrying out the wishes of Robert Prewitt, who died in 1819, his descendants have just held a picnic in the Prewitt graveyard on the Spendthrift farm near Walnut Hill, this county. When Robert Prewitt was alive he used to tell his children that he wanted them to pay a yearly pilgrimage to his last resting place and that he wanted them to teach the custom to each succeeding generation. And so the annual journies are made to the little rural burying ground where simple slabs mark the graves of Robert Prewitt (1758-1819) and his wife, Martha Chandler Prewitt (1762-1833)
