Of the feudal lord, Robert de Beauchamp, nothing is known beyond hisbeing engaged againstthe Welsh with Henry III, and hisfounding the prioryof Frithelstoke, in the co. Devon. He was yet living in 1257, and was s.by his son, John de Beauchamp.
