Roman did much reasearch on the history of the Rakower family as well as other families from Krakow. He was able to find family members all around the world and wrote a book about it.

On May 18, 1985, Roman Rakower, the relative of Helena (Rakower) Pufeles recorded in the Martyrs Memorial and Museum of the Holocaust, 6505 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, Calif. 90048 the testimony of Helena.
