About Rosa Rodríguez Riquelme, "O'Higgins"

Rosa Rodríguez was the only daughter of Félix and Isabel. However, since she lived with her half-brother Bernardo since childhood, she adopted his surname during the Independence wars, being known as Rosa O'Higgins Riquelme. She and her mother followed Bernardo O'Higgins during his exile in Perú as well as in the previous campaigns during the Independence war.
