Miss Rosalie Bidois, 42, was born in Jersey, Channel Islands on 10th May 1865,the daughter of Pierre Bidois and his wife Rosalie Martillet

She boarded the Titanic at Cherbourg as maid to Mrs John Jacob Astor and travelled on the same ticket as the Astors (No. PC 17757). Mrs Astor and Miss Bidois were rescued in Lifeboat 4.

Rosalie later married Francois Courtinade but the marriage was not a happy one and they soon separated. Rosalie Courtinade (née Bidois) died in Manhattan on 24th September, 1938.
