Lived occassionally in Hornellsville, New York before he married. Infact, that is where he met Patty as she had gotten lost in the Arkport woods & he went to go find her. He bought 200 acres in PA. He went with his daughter, Roxy, to Nebraska after his wife's death (reached NB. in early June). He left NB. in 1884 for CA. (lived a stones throw from the American/Mexican border).
