About Samuel Baker

From Sally Thomas:

Samuel b. May 1, 1648.

It is not known that Samuel married. He seem to have died without issue before 4 Mar. 1693, since neither he nor any heir to represent him is named in his father’s will. All his brothers and sisters were named or represented.

Samuel was a soldier in King Philip’s War, marching in the second Narragansett expedition, in which was fought the bloody “Swamp-Fort” battle on 19 Dec. 1675 near the site of what is now West Kingston, RI for this service he was later paid 4 pounds, 10 shillings.
