About Samuel Baker

From descendant Sally Thomas:

Samuel;

  • probably m. 27 Mar 1778 Patience Chase of Swansea
    • b. 5 May 1761 dau of Elisha and Sarah Tucker and lived at Swansea.

They were both alive as late as 3 Nov 1702, on which date they signed a deed. This may be the Samuel Baker listed in the 1790 census for Somerset as having one male over and one under 16 and 3 females. The names of these children are not known. We do know the name of a son born in 1796 who removed to Woonsocket, RI, and of one born in 1799 who remained in Swansea.
