About Samuel Fryer
Son of Charles (Isaac) and Mary (Malka) Weintraub Fryer. Married Jennie Mintz. They had three sons Jacob, Albert, and George. Samuel died in 1914 but Jennie Fryer and several of her sons lived together in Rock Island, Illinois.
Samuel and Jennie lived in Muscatine at the time of their marriage in 1891. Samuel came with his parents in about 1895. Jennie appears to have immigrated in 1891, although there is some confusion in the Census records as to the date. By 1910, they had moved to Rock Island where Samuel died in 1921 at age 48.
Samuel was likely born in Volhynia since the Weintraubs, Reib/Rubensteins, and Fryers were intermarried and the Reib/Rubensteins indicated on several documents that they immigrated from Bilogorodka, Volyhnia.
