Samuel Getchell (1658 - 1710) was an apprentice of shipwright Thomas Mudgett in 1678.

Samuel Getchell served with Capt. Jonathan Poole's Company, stationed at Hatfield, Massachusetts, during the winter of 1676-1677, during King Philip's War.
