Samuel Neely of Robinson Township is buried in Montours Cemetery. His date of death is listed as Nov. 28, 1832. His wife, Esther is in the same plot. There are other members of his family in the same plot. We have replaced his stone, which was illegible, with a new government stone this past month. He is a Rev. War Veteran. " Pvt. Samuel Neely - 1756; Nov. 28, 1832 aged 76 years. Service - April 1, 1784 - April 10, 1785 - 3rd Company; 7th Battalion, Lancaster & York Penna. Militia."
