Samuel served under Major Appleton in King Phillip's war in the Narraganset Campaign of December, 1675. Samuel owned a house and land on the west bank of the Merrimack River in Newbury, now Newburyport. The road in front of his house was known as Poore's Lane in the 18th century deeds. Later the property was sold to Samuel Moggeridge and a shipyard was operated there. Died: Chair maker.
