From The Stickney Family: A Genealogical Memoir of the Descendants of William and Elizabeth Stickney from 1637 to 1869 by Matthew Adams Stickney, pub 1869 the following information about Samuel Stickney is found: In 1864 he was chosen one of the towm mommitee members to meet with John Perle and Richards Whomes (Holmes) about setting up a corn mill in Bradford. He was selectman 1668, '87, '89, '96, 1701, '03; assesor in 1694, Constable in 1699, and surveyor in 1707 and 08. Samuel Stickney died in Bradford; his gravestone will standing in the burial ground there bears the inscription, Samuel Stickney died Dec. 30, 1714, in 51 year of his age. Samuel had 12 children: 1.
