Samuel Lee Wheeler, 84, of Gainesville, Florida, answered his call to eternal rest on December 12, 2011 at the Tri-County Hospital in Williston, Florida. He was of Baptist Faith. Those who Mr. Wheeler leaves to cherish his Legacy and Memories are his children: Donald Wheeler of Gainesville, Florida, Vivian Wheeler-Dawson of College Park, Georgia, Deyawn Jackson of Gainesville, Florida, Devora Wheeler-Patterson of Williston, Florida, and Charon Wheeler-Belford of Seminole, Florida, one sister: Ida Wheeler-Goldwire of Alachua, Florida, two brothers: Clyde Wheeler of Jackson, Florida and Alphonso Austin of St. Petersburg, Florida, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The Homegoing Service for Samuel Wheeler will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Williams Temple Church of God in Christ (628 NW 7th Ave., Gainesville Florida). Visitation will be held at Anderson Memorial Church of God in Christ (935 SE Lincoln Ave., High Springs, Florida) from 6pm-8pm.

Services are under the Direction of Carnegie Funeral Home, 217 SE 4th Ave., Chiefland, Florida.
