About Sarah Day

Slain by Indians Sept. 19th, 1677 -------------------- Nathaniel died sometime shortly after Samuel's birth. Sarah later remarried to a Samuel Kellogg on 24 Nov 1664. From "A History of Hatfield Massachusetts" by Daniel White Wells:

Through Middle Lane poured a band of armed and painted warriors who fell upon houses lying outside the stockade. The torch was applied to the buildings of Samuel Kellogg at the corner of the lane, and his wife Sarah and her infant son were killed, and another child, Samuel, a boy of three years was seized and bound.

It appears Samuel Kellogg, the kidnapped 3 year old half-brother to Samuel Gunn, was rescued in May 1678 by Benjamin Waite, et al. -------------------- Notes for Sarah Gunn Kellogg: She was slain by Indians.
