About Sarah Harris (Wilson)

Sarah Wilson Harris (1823 - 1875), daughter of James Wilson and Eleanor Shelfer, was born 20 September 1823 at Shelbyville, Bedford, Tennessee. She married (1) Alexander Cheney (1805 - 1847) about 1842 at Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie County, Iowa, with whom she had one child, Mary Ellender Cheney, prior to Alexander's death; (2) Dennison Lott Harris on Sunday, 7 March 1847 at Council Bluffs. The Lotts emigrated to Utah in 1852 with Captain Cutler's Company. She died at the age of 51 on Monday, 23 February 1875 at Monroe, Sevier County, Utah Territory. She was buried on Wednesday, 25 February 1874 at Monroe City Cemetery.
