According to Yad Vashem information submitted by her niece Nata Gattegno, Sarina was 34 when she perished in the Holocaust in 1944, suggesting a 1910 birth date. This means she was not the child that caused her mother's death in childbirth in 1915, that must have been a child who died in the birth as well.

According to the Yad Vashem document, Sarina's husband was named Josef Levy. In her autobiography, Nata refers to him as Nissim. They had two children.
