(100) John Murray, died June 1642. He was served heir to his mother 6th August 1628 and 26th May 1630. He was created Earl of Atholl 17th February 1629. On 6th June 1630 he married Jean, daughter of Sir Duncan Campbell of Glenorchy, and had:

• 100(a) John (No. 101 below).
• 100(b) Sir Mungo Murray of Garth, died unmarried 3rd October 1671. He was M.P., Perthshire, 1661-63 an d 1669.
