About Sir William Gerard, 5th Baronet Gerard of Bryn

From the book " The Baronetage of England," printed for John Stockdale, published 1806: Sir William Gerard married first Anne, the daughter of Sir John Preston, Baronet. They had 4 sons and 6 daughters. -- William, John, Thomas, and Francis and Mary, Elizabeth, Anne, Bridget, Frances, and Winifred All the sons except William had no issue. All the daughters except Anne died unmarried. He married secondly Mary, sister of Sir Edward Mostyn, Baronet. They had no children.

He was succeeded by his eldest son, Sir William, who married Elizabeth, 4th daughter of Thomas Clifton, Esq. They had 3 sons and one daughter -- William, Thomas, Robert and Mary.

Sir William Gerard, 5th Bt. is the son of Sir William Gerard, 4th Bt. and Anne Preston.2 He married Mary Cansfield.1 On 22 June 1662 baptised.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Gerard, of Bryn, co. Palatine of Lancaster [E., 1611] circa April 1702.1
