His will was probated in 1647.[2]

Sir William Stewart, 1st Bt. was Captain of the company of 100 Scottish soldiers in June 1608 in Ireland.[2]

He was invested as a Knight in 1613.[2]

He was created 1st Baronet Stewart, of Ramalton, co. Donegal [Ireland] in 1623.[1]
