DAVID, Boston, perhaps s. of Robert, m. 15 Aug. 1660, Abigail, d. of Thomas Buttolph; was freem. 1666, and d. 1672. His wid. m. next yr. Thomas Bingley.
ROBERT, Boston, came in the Blessing, 1635, aged 30, with Susan, prob. his w. 25, and James, prob. their s. 1 and 1/2 yrs. had Elizabeth wh. m. 7 May 1662, Joseph Davis.

Robert Saywell was born about 1608 at Rayleigh, Essex, England.
He married Susan Kendall, the daughter of John Kendall at Rayleigh on September 22, 1632. Susan was born about 1610.
The couple and their son James were on a 1635 passenger list to New England. On the list, they were listed with the family of John and Anne (Kendall) Stockbridge. Susan and Anne were sisters.
No records have been found for the family of Robert Saywell. Anderson in his "Great Migration" believes that "having enrolled for passage to New England on 17 June 1635, the Saywells presumably changed their minds before the ship sailed and remained in England. This presumption is strengthened by the baptism of a second Saywell child at Rayleigh on 30 November 1635, long after the Blessing, carrying the Stockbridges, had sailed for New England."

Robert Saywell married at Rayleigh, Essex, 22 Sep 1632, Susan Kendall, daughter of John Kendall. She was born about 1610 (aged 25 on 17 Jun 1635).
They had two children: James & a daughter baptised at Rayleigh 30 Nov 1635. (There is no evidence to support Savage's claim that this daughter was the Elizabeth who married Joseph Davis.)
Susan was sister of Anne (Kendall) Stockbridge, wife of John Stockbridge of Scituate, whose family they traveled with on the blessing.
