Thomas Applegate, born c1700; died 1770. He married Sarah_______, born ; died 1782. They lived in South Amboy, Middlesex Co., NJ. His will written on Nov. 16, 1770 and proved on Dec. 3, 1770 left his wife, Sarah, 200 pounds; eldest son, Gabriel, 20 acres of land I bought of John Thorp, lying in Monmouth Co., NJ; second son Ezekial, that house where he dwells, near Cranbury Brook and 110 acres adjoining. The youngest son, Anthony, this house and plantation of 200 acres; also 20 acres on the north side of Cranbury Brook, that joins Benjamin Appleget's land. Daughter, Sarah Appleget, 100 pounds. Granddaughter, Rachel Appleget, the daughter of the said, Sarah, 20 pounds. Wife, Sarah, to have the rest. His executor was his son, Anthony. Thomas was reported to have been a blacksmith. He used the name Appleget.
