As "William Avery jr.," he was also a witness, 10:8 mo:1650, in the case of Theophilus Salter of Ipswich, who was presented before the court for lying [Ipswich Ct. R. and Files]. Thomas Bishop was the other witness. Said Salter had also encouraged other youths "to steal apples" (!).
