-------------------- According to "The Next Earl of Ormond" compiled by Lord Dunboyne in 1997 Thomas was unmarried but had an illegitimate son. His nephew James is listed as presumed d.s.p. before 8 May 1741 when his uncle, Thomas, had taken up residence at Kilmoyler. This would not permit this Thomas to be our Thomas in Berwick, Maine as he was there before 1698. Birth and death dates are very close to ours and he is a decendant of the 7th. son of the 9th. Earl of Ormonde. -------------------- Descendent of 9th Duke of Ormond of Ireland, teacher, owned a mill and was elected to public office 35 times- the Dukes of Ormond were created by Edward lll and sent to Ireland by Henry ll in 1172, they were also there under King John-they originally came from France with William the Conquerer
