About Thomas Stickney
"Thomas Stickney is named the son and heir in the will, but he lived only until 1546, the jury at the manor court held in April saying that Thomas has died since last Michaelmas Court and that Robert Stickney aged 12 is his son and heir. So we know that Thomas was married and had a son born about 1534. Though parish registers of Frampton were kept a few years earler, the first mention of the name Stickney is in 1557, and the third entry (of Stickney) is; 15 Jan. 1557-8, Isabel Stickney buried. Could Thomas have married Isabel romforthe, and could the two have been the parents of Robert? Thomas also had a younger son Thomas who died 1484, leaving a son George (his heir) 1564-1587 and three other children; Joan, Thomas and Richard besides his widow, Margaret;"
