Came to America -- Sailed on the "American Congress" a 910 ton vessel on May 23, 1866 with 345 other passengers. Brigham Young Jr. led the company with John Nicholson as company president. They arrived in Utah in Oct 1866 and settled in Springville. They later worked mines in Tintic (Silver City), leaving once to move to Idaho, where their ventures were unsucessful, so they returned to Tintic. (The Sutherland Saga)
