Birth Date 1605 or 1616

Timothy Baldwin, of Milford, Conn., one of the first settlers, in 1639; joined the Church there in 1643, with MARY, his wife, who died July 31, 1647. He was the eldest son of Richard Baldwin, of Cholesbury, Buckinghamshire, England, whose will was made in 1633, and Timothy was executor. He was the brother of Nathaniel, as evidenced from an entry from the long,narrow book of Milford Records, transcribed in 1700 by Richard Bryan, by order of the town.

Timothy lived for a while in Guilford, Conn.,since he married, on Mar, 5,1645 (this has to be an error, since his wife Mary still lived until 1647) with MARY MEPHAM, widow of John, of Guilford. About 1651 or 1652 they sold the Guilford property and moved back to Milford. Her son, by John Mepham, also named John, move to Southhampton, Long Island, NY. She joined the Church in Milford in Dec. of 1653. He died the night following Jan. 17,1664/65.She remarried with Thomas Tapping, of Milford.

Timothy's stepson, John Mepham, was remembered in his will.

If we calculate that he married Mary Mepham circa 1648 then the children would be:

By Mary (1st wife): Mary (c1643), Hannah (c1644), Sarah (c1645). By Mary (2nd wife): Abigail (1650), Anne (1655), and Timothy (1658).

Mary2 had no children by her 3rd husband (Tapping).
