About "Udnye's sister" Skene
"Udnye's sister" is mentioned in the Memorials of the family of Skene of Skene, p.125:
"David Skene was twice married: first to Udnye's sister, by whom he had Thomas" etc.
In the index of the same book, there's no mention of Udnye, but there is a mention of Alexander Udnie, with a reference to p.78. On p.78, it is said that in about 1681, Alexander and Lilias Skene left alexander Udnie some properties in their will (if I understand the text correctly!). I should think that Udnye and Udnie can be considered the same name (like Adie and AEdie), but I'm not sure that gets us any further forward. -- Dominik Wujastyk, March 2011
