Urszula Kochanowska Wikipedia PL
Urszula Kochanowska (b. 1575, d. 1578) - Polish noble child, daughter of the poet Jan Kochanowski and Dorota Podlodowska, granddaughter of Piotr Kochanowski.
According to the poet, at the age of three years old she demonstrated the capacity for poetry and literature, and so Kochanowski's family and friends recognized her as his worthy successor. Urszulka died as a child, probably of typhus. Ursula's death was a tragedy for the whole family, and nobody was able to accept it. After her death, her father wrote Laments. Only in the nineteenth part of Laments does Jan Kochanowski suggest that reconciled the loss of his daughter.
Some poetry researchers think that she never existed and was a product of Kochanowski's imagination.
