2 Chronicles 26:1-3 -------------------- King Uzziah, at the age of 16, enjoyed a lengthy reign, from about 783 to 742 BC. He became known as the kingdom’s most able ruler, was stricken with leprosy, and is called both Uzziah, and Azariah,( perhaps a personal name). (2Chr 26:1-23). His son Jotham, succeeded his father Uzziah. (2Chr27:1) -------------------- AZARIAH = AZARIYAH UZZIAH = UZZIYAH

King Azariah reigned in a long peaceful interlude, -------------------- Born 826 BC. Became king at 16 years old. He reigned for 52 years. He was a good king, but became proud & tried to offer incense in the temple where only the priests were allowed to go. Aka: Azariah. Died 758 BC. Leprosy broke out on his forehead & he was forced to live the rest of his life in a separate building. --------------------
