About Vincent Shurtleff

(son of E. Shurtleff and Susan Gorham of Russell Hampden county, Massachusetts, born 1776, at same place). Born May 14, 1814. Came to Utah 1847.

   Married:	Elizabeth Loomis October 27, 1836, at Russell, Mass, (daughter of Mr. Loomis and Patience Root), who was born March 19, 1816.

           Lucy Alvirea S. born January 8, 1838, died;
           Emmerson Davis born July 29, 1839, married Mary Ann Trilie;
           Harrison Tuttle born January 1, 1841, married Nellie Smith 1863;
           Hyrum Chester born November 29, 1845, married Ellen Cressmon 1867;
           Buson born April 15, 1847, died;
           Albert Dewey born May 25, 1849, married Ofidia Stoddard April 11, 1872;
           Mary Elizabeth born December 18, 1851, died;
           Laura Celistia born August 25, 1855, married Gilbert Webb Jr. October 16, 1874;
           Vincent Haswell born September 2, 1859, married Elizabeth Cory Hickerson August 10, 1890.
   Married:	Mary Hadlock Brockway October 22, 1847, Salt Lake City, who was born November 2, 1821, Waterford, Caledonia county, Vermont.

           Mary Emma born June 19, 1860, died October 12, 1865;
           George Washington born April 6, 1862, married Alice Elvira Cook July 3, 1888.
   Married:	Elizabeth Tophan December 4, 1850, Salt Lake City (daughter of John Tophan and Jane Tophan, latter pioneer 1848, Bishop Evans company). She was born June 10, 1833, Eden Saken, Bedfordshire, England.

           Haskell born February 18, 1862, died November 23, 1864;
           Charles H. born December 30, 1868, married Florence Odekirk December 13, 1893.
   Family home Salt Lake City.
