William Baldwin, son of Zorrobbabel Baldwin and Perseus Bemis, was b. in Spencer, Mass. on Apr. 16,1801; m. June 4, 1832, with MARY HOWLAND, dau. of Abner Howland. He lived in Spencer; was a Justice of the Peace, Representative, Selectman, Assessor and Land Surveyor. He inherited the farm of his father and grandfather. He d. Oct. 27,1851; widow living, in 1876, with her son John W., in Springfield, Mass.

• 1850 US census: William, aged 49, born Mass., in Spencer Mass. with wife Mary (52) and children Mary M. (12) and John W. (11). He is a farmer.
• 1851 death record: William Baldwin, s/o Zerubbabel & Persis Baldwin, d. Oct. 27,1851 in Spencer, Mass. He was b. c1800 in Spencer, Mass. Cause: lung fever. He was a farmer and married at time of death.
