3. William, born 7mo 21st (September 21) 1689, married 1715 to Elizabeth, daughter of John Cowgill of Duck Creek; married secondly 1mo 15th 1721/22 (March 15, 1722) to Margaret Davis. He died about 1727 and his widow was married again 3mo 6th (May 6) 1730 to William, son of Samuel Kirk of Nottingham. -------------------- Ben M. Angel notes: This is apparently in error. First Month in the pre-1752 Quaker Calender is March.

William, married in 1704 to Esther Yearsley. He was a weaver. He was alive in 1715, but his widow is supposed to have married again in 1717, to Samuel Taylor.

5. William Brown (sonj of James Browne, grandson of Richard, g-grandson of John) was born 1mo 13 1682; he married Hester Baker, daughter of Henry Baker and Margaret Hardman, 8mo 4 1704 at Falls Meeting, Bucks Co., PA; 2nd husband; he died 1716 at Principio, Cecil Co., MD.

He was a weaver. He resided at Chichester, PA. He left a will; proved 8mo 13 1716.

Known children of William Brown and Hester Baker were as follows:

i. Rev. William Brown was born 1705; he married Susanna Churchman, daughter of Rev. John Churchman and Hannah Cerie, 2mo 11 1728; he died 29 May 1786.

He resided at Nottingham, Chester Co., PA. He resided at Harford Co., MD. He resided at Philadelphia, PA.

ii. Margaret Brown was born 1mo 13 1706/7; she married John Churchman, son of Rev. John Churchman and Hannah Cerie, 11mo 27 1729; she died 28 Jul 1770; she was buried 30 Jul 1770 at East Nottingham, Chester Co., PA.

iii. Daniel Brown was born 1708 at Pennsylvania; he married Susanna Oldham 9mo 11 1736; 1st wife; he married Susanna Elgar, daughter of Joseph Elgar and Mary, 3 May 1753; 2nd wife; he died 26 Dec 1791 at Virginia.

iv. James Brown, born circa 1712; married Miriam Churchman; married Elizabeth Elgar.

-------Encyclopedia of Quaker Genealogy, Vol II, Falls Monthly Meeting, Page 981 - shows William left to marry Esther Yardley Aug 4, 1704;

-------History of Bucks County, PA Volume I, Bucks County Genealogies, Page 122 - is on the Yardley family. It clearly states that Thomas Yardley married Hester Baker. They had 2 children that died in infancy. Thomas Yardley died shortly afterward. His widow, Hester yardley married William Brown of Chichester, Chester Co, PA.
