BUD ABBOTT (1897-1974) formed with Lou Costello (1906-1959) one of the greatest comedy teams in the history of show business. With Abbott as straight man and Costello as clown, they found popular success from vaudeville and burlesque to radio, Broadway, films and television. Their "Who's on First?" routine is enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Abbott's last role was as his own voice in Hanna-Barbera's Abbott and Costello cartoon series.
