WILLIAM9 CALHOUN (JAMES PATRICK8, ALEXANDER7, WILLIAM CAMPBELL6, ROBERT5 COLQUHOUN, ADAM4, ALEXANDER3, JOHN2, HUMPHRY1) was born 1717 in County Donegal, Ireland, and died May 25, 1762 in Long Cane Creek, Abbeville District, S.C1. NOTE: DAR & SAR have a date of death of "circa 1790."
He married AGNES LONG October 19, 1749. Many of their children were killed in the Indian massacre of 1760.
William arrived in S.C. in 1756 settling in the Long Cane Creek section of Prince William's Parish, Granville County. He arrived with his brothers James Patrick, and Ezekiel, mother Catherine Calhoun and sister Mary Noble, widow of John Noble.
