1656 He received a grand of land in Dover, New Hampshire. This was laid out, March 17, 1658/59 "beyond Cocheco Logg Swamp."

1656 A grant made to John White in 1651 was assigned to William Thompson on October 15, 1656. It was in Kittery, below Sturgeon Creek.

1659 William Thompson was presented at York Court "for rebellion against his father and mother-in-law." He bound himself to the court in a bond of 20 pounds that he will be of good behavior towards all men, especially towards his father and mother."

1676 His estate was appraised. 52 pounds 1 shilling, 23 acres and a house and orchard in Kittery ME and 50 acres in Dover NH which he gave to his sons, William and Robert and to John White. It is assumed his wife had died by then. source "Our Thompsons in Maine."

Also in ct. several times for drinking, abs. from Ch., idleness and not provid. for fam. He d. 22 Jun 1676. Inv. incl. 23 a., ho. and orchard in Kit., and 50 a. ab. Cochecho which he 'gave to his two sons living at Dover William and Robert as John White.' See Me. P. & Ct. Rec. iii 338.

A 'lame, impotent brother' in 1684, he became a tailor, m. 3 Mar. 1700-1 Elizabeth Frye (1), of York 1710 sold Kit. gr. of 1694-1699, liv. there 1717 on land he bot from (2) 4 Jan 1713-4, Lists 290, 298. Of Biddeford in Sept 1733 he deeded Bid. and Scarb. land to a Cornelius for supp. and ack. at York 18 Apr 1734. John, lame man, list 279 (James). 13 ch., desc. incl. Brig.-Gen.
