This line appears to have started with William Hopkins who first appears in the records of Roxbury, MA,. as a grave digger around 19 January 1656 of which he was paid two shillings for men and winnen graves and children under 10 years of age, he is to have twelve pence per child. pg. 73 Colonial Hopkins and Families, although no record has been found of the marriage, his wife Hannah Andrews, Daughter of Thomas Andrews, Sr. of Dorchester, MA, whose will was written 17 Dec 1667 and proved 4 Aug 1673---Thomas having died May 27, 1673---In this will Thomas named wife Ann, son Thomas and daughter Hannah...legacy was restricted to the children of daughter Hannah, born before the date of the will. William Hopkins put in a caution against the will, but differences were compose.
