From A Supplement to the Four Volumes of the Peerage of England by Arthur Collins: The said Sir William Fitz-William, (Son of Albreda) is mentioned in several Deeds without Date, where unto the Arms the Family now bear are appendant. And by a Fine levied at Leicester, Wednesday after the Feast of St. Andrew in the 10th of King John, he grants the Advowson of Marham Church to Frier Hemet, Master of the Knights Templars in ENgland. He married Ella, Daughter of Hamline, and Sister of William Earl Warren and Surry, by whom he left Issue Sir Thomas Fitz-William.
