Will of William Jackson

"Know all men by these presence that I William Jackson of Decatur County, Indiana, do make and Publish this my last will and testament.

First - I declare my will to be that my son John Thomas shall not at anytime be entitled to any part or parcel of any estate. On account of advancements made by Me for him I make this provision.

Second - I will and bequeath to my wife Mary Jackson and her Children by me viz. Ira K., Elias M., and Willie Jackson, and to such other children as may be born to us, The following Real Estate to have and to hold in fee simple Forever to-wit. The East half of the North East quarter of section thirty five (35) Town ten (10) Range Nine (9)80 acres To be held by my wife as tenant for life and at her death to be equally divided between the children born to us, it being intended by this clause to give my wife a life Estate only and our children the fee simple.

Third- It is my will that my three children by my first

Marriage viz Burrel Jackson, William T. Jackson, and

Marcellus L Jackson, excluding John T. as above, shall share equally with my children by my foresent wife Mary in all of my other estate real and personal except the 80 acres above described. It being my intention to give my wife Mary and her children by me that 80 acres on the foregoing terms Additional to Equalize them on account of advancements made by me to my children by my first Marriage.

In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal This 2nd day of October 1877
