Mr. and Mrs. Bill Foster of Trenton celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary the weekend of June 26-27, 2004 when several members of their family gathered at the Foster’s home. William Joseph (Bill) Foster and the former Mary June Summers were married on June 11, 1944 in Trenton. Their attendants were Bill’s sister, Peggy Foster, and her finance, Bob Sanders. After living in Kansas City, MO, for nearly two years, Bill and June moved to Trenton where they have lived since that time. They are the parents of four children: Terry, Tobi, Candy, and Joe.

Saturday evening, June 26, Joe and Lori Foster entertained the guests with dinner at their home on Lake Wittona.

On Sunday, June 27, during the morning worship service at the Wesley U.M. Church, Bill & June's great-grandchildren Drew Jeske and Sadie and Sarah Wynne presented two musical numbers. Sunday afternoon was spent visiting and reminiscing. The anniversary cakes were baked and decorated by the couple’s daughter, Candy.

Those attending the festivities were Peggy and Bob Sanders, Brookfield, MO; Lori and Joe Foster, Trenton, Jessica Foster and friend, Omaha, NE; Candy Tucker, Overland Park, KS, Emily Tucker and friend, Overland Park, KS; Ryan and Colin Tucker, Liberty, MO; Terry Moschgat, Burkburnett, TX; Lynda Moore and children, Devin Moore and Josh and Drew Jeske, Duncan, OK; Cindy and Lee Wynne and daughters, Sadie and Sarah, O’Fallon, IL; Eric Wynne, Irving, TX; Blake Deeb, Burkburnett, TX. Devin, Josh, Drew, Sadie, Sarah and Blake are all great-grandchildren of June and Bill.

Bill Foster

Memorial services for Bill Foster will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, 2004 at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Trenton. Rev. Barry Boulware will officiate.

A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004 at the Whitaker - Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.

Mr Foster, an 84-year-old resident of 703 Monroe St. in Trenton, died at 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 20, 2004 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS, where he had been a patient since Friday, Sept. 10, 2004. The body was cremated.

The family has suggested that memorial contributions be left to the Hope Lodge in Kansas City Missouri or the Wesley United Methodist Church in Trenton Missouri.
