About William Avery Morgan, Jr.

His son, Jasper, m. Catharine (Copp) Avery, widow of Jasper Avery (No. 751). Their son, Edwin D. Morgan, b. Feb. 8, 1811, at Washington, Mass., became governor of New York, major-general of volunteers, and United States senator from New York. William Avery Morgan was serg't in the war of the Revolution {Conn. Men in the Rev'n, pp. 656, 661). His second wife was Sarah Harris. He d. March 22, 1842, at Lebanon, Conn.
