The 1790 Rutherford Co census lists a William Rucker in the 11th Co (Sandy Run Creek area), with one male over 16, one male under 16 and 2 females.
The 1800 Rutherford Co, NC census lists a William ROOKER and a Mordecai RUCKER as HOH's.
The 1810 census lists William ROOKER only.
The 1820 lists two William Rookers (Ruckers), a Sr and a Jr (ie, older and younger). This one must have been the older and the one born 1797 the younger. It also listed a John and a Jesse as Heads of Household.
The 1830 census lists John ROOKER and William RUCKER.
