Fighting Over Apple Trees: From the Goding Genealogy:
I thought you might be interested in this, on October 4, 1699, there was case involving William, who was my 8th Great Granduncle, his sister, Susanna Shattuck Morse was my 8th Great Grandmother, there was a complaint filed against him by my 8th Great Grandfather, Henry Goding claiming that some apple trees belonged on his property and not on William's property. You see, Henry's property bordered William's property from the south and the question was in relation to where the line was between the two properties, so a committee was formed and they looked into it and they ruled in favor of Henry's claim and so the apple trees in ended up being Henry's.
