Jane Hodges & had son John Strachey who m. Elizabeth Elletson & had Dr. John Strachey whose daughter m. Thomas Metcalfe] --son Edmond Strachey remainder of land above --son William Strachey appertances, etc. being near ffish Street Hall London when he reaches the age of one and twenty [ moved to VA, m. Mary Miller] --son William Strachey and three other children I had by my two former wives hoping that my said wife will add and contribute a good proportion out of my aforesaid houses att Westminster towards the maintance & pr___ of my said four former children as shee faithfully promised to doe --three daughterrs Katherine, Frances, & Elizabeth --Executors: wife Elizabeth and uncle Howard Strachey, Gent Wit: Thomas Lloyd, William Strachey, Will: Goode, John Hallywell, Jr. Scriver, Mary Strachey --added this section: “Whereas there are certyne lands lying in Grensted in the parish of Chipping Ongar in the County of Essex which were late the lands of John Borne, Gent deceased which lands the said John hath conferred upon his sonne Richard Borne and his heirs and for want of heirs of the said Richard then the same lands to descend and come unto the forenamed Ffrancis Strachey daughter and heir to Ane Borne deceased late wife of the said William Strachey the Testator. Now if the said lands shall happen to come and descend unto the said Ffrancis then my will is that the said legacie of three hundred pounds before in and by these present bequested unto her the said Ffrancis shall holly come and be paid and payable to my foresaid daughter Katherine.
