Tabor, United States Army, for extraordinary heroism on July, 1863, while serving with Company K, 15th New Hampshire Infantry, in action at Port Hudson, Louisiana. Private Tabor voluntarily exposed himself to the enemy only a few feet away to render valuable services for the protection of his comrades.
