About Hsien Wu
Wu Hsien, internationally known biochemist who between 1917 and 1920, with Otto Folin of Harvard University, developed the Folin-Wu method of blood analysis. Wu's research interests were primarily in protein chemistry and nutrition. He was also known for his contribution to modern medical education in China as head of the department of biochemistry at Peking Union Medical College (1924-41).
