About Yechiel Tzvi מקרעמענטשיק טשעכין
Rabbi Yechiel Zvi, the Rebbe's brother, was one of Rabbi Nachman's earliest and closest followers. He was most probably named after his mother's father, Rabbi Yehiel, and possibly after Rabbi Zvi, the Baal Shem Tov's son.
The Rebbe regarded his brother highly and referred to him as the "completely wise one". He made his home in Kremenchug.
In 1809, Rabbi Nachman asked his brother to journey to Medzeboz. The Rebbe was seriously ill from the tuberculosis which eventually took his life, and he wanted Rabbi Yechiel to pray for his recovery at the grave of the Baal Shem Tov.
Rabbi Yechiel died not long after the Rebbe, leaving one known child, a daughter, Feiga.
